Zedge is an immensely popular site for free ringtones, wallpapers and themes for mobile phones. You can select your phone and then see what freebies are available or you can work backwards and select one of the freebies and then check to make sure it’s compatible for your phone when you reach the download page.

There are two ways to download the content:
Directly to your phone:
- 1 – Go to “m.zedge.net/zcode” from your mobile phone’s internet browser
- 2 – Enter the z-code on the download screen
- 3 – Then select Download to download it to your phone.
Download to your Computer and then Transfer to your Phone (the method I use):
- 1 – Download the file directly to your computer
- 2 – Next you have to connect your phone or memory storage card for your phone (i.e. SD Card) to your computer to obtain the file.
OR, if you can’t do Step 2 for whatever reason, I’ve discovered a way around this. If you have verizon as your phone service you can send an email to “yournumber@vzwpix.com” with the ringtone, wallpaper or theme as an attachment. And within a few seconds or minutes, depending on the size of the file, you will receive a text message with the attachment on your phone. Pretty cool, right! I believe other service providers have the same feature but you would have to do a little research to figure out the email that connects to your phone. I found out information on this through Howard Forums, one of the most popular mobile phone resources online today.
