According to InformationWeek, downloads from the Apple Apps Store reached well over 3 Billion within the last 18 months. Do you want to learn how to build your own apps?
Look no further than the iPhone Dev Center. (Aside: There’s also information on the site about how to start developing apps for the new iPad that was just launched.)
There is also an iPhone Developer Program that is relatively inexpensive and has three levels of users.
University Program – (Cost: FREE) for qualifying degree granting universities. If you are an instructor looking to introduce iPhone app development in your curriculum then take a look at this amazing program provided by Apple for you and your students.
Standard Program - (Cost: $99/year) This is for developers looking to create free apps for the iPhone/iTouch and want to distribute the app on the Apple App Store.
Enterprise Program - (Cost: $299/year) This is for companies with over 500 employees who want to create proprietary in-house applications for the iPhone/iTouch.
