“The Most Powerful Broadcast Platform on the Internet. Welcome to your very own television studio.”
MSA Nationals has it’s own livestreaming TV channel online, hosted by The Muslim Contributor, called mcontributor. On Friday night I watched “Charting Our Map: Navigating our Path with Shaykh Faraz Rabbani and Shaykh Muhammad Ninowy” broadcast live. This was my first time viewing a channel on LiveStream and I was blown away by the quality of video, the social media interface and the possibilities!
LiveStream is an amazing tool for budding TV producers and organizations in the muslim community. Just imagine having your events, jummah, halaqas and more broadcast live online to your community and the world. Through LiveStream’s Free Package one can Broadcast Live (to anyone with an internet connection), switch between cameras in real time, have SD quality footage and a max of 10GB of video storage. That’s not bad for starters! To compare both the Free and Premium Packages and a list of additional features for both plans that I haven’t mentioned, follow this link.
Live video broadcasting is not the only thing that I found amazing about LiveStream. When I was watching the live broadcast with Shaykh Faraz Rabbani and Shaykh Muhammad Ninowy on mcontributor’s channel I couldn’t help checking out the stylish interface. Several great social media perks caught my attention during the broadcast:
- The number of viewers actually viewing the content live
- Twitter & Facebook Share Options
- A Livestream Chatroom, with Moderator Controls (aka a great place to ask questions during the broadcast and hold a conversation with online viewers)
If you want to be a part of a media revolution, LiveStream is a great place to start.
